Rodrigo Cuevas – Carceleras

During lockdown in Europe due to Covid-19, Rodrigo Cuevas, Frank Merfort and I recorded a video of Carceleras, one of the songs of music theater show Barbián (created by Fernando Carmena). Carceleras was the opening song of our concert in Madrid (Veranos de la Villa 2019), Frank Merfort and I created a modern arrangement of this song from 1889, written by Ruperto Chapí and José Estremera.

The video was produced for AECID (Agencia Española de Cooperación Internacional para el Desarrollo), the international development cooperation from the Spanish government. Carceleras premiered on 1 October 2020 on all social media outlets of Spanish embassies around the world.
